Join us on Family Day for a BBQ and Skate at the Millrise Community Rink.

The warmer weather has been nice but it's presented a challenge for our ice crew to keep ice on the ground. Hopefully with a little luck we will get enough of a chill for a skate, but regardless the event will go ahead; ice or no ice. We will have the BBQ fired up and it's a great opportunity to meet others in the community.

Free for all members, and memberships will be on sale on the day. Only 20 dollars for the year.

The skate will take place this coming weekend on December 19th, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We hope to see you all there!

Newsflash

Do you love cold weather and clearing snow?  Better yet, have you always wanted to drive a Zamboni? 

We're the Millrise ice crew and we maintain the ice through the winter. The good news is that we have machines to do the heavy work and the work is extremely rewarding when we see kids active and skating. We're always looking for new volunteers. In October each year we begin our fall tune-up and we generally begin making ice in late November; please plan on coming down early in the year and get acquainted with the work.
