The 2018 Community Cleanup has been scheduled for Sunday, April 29th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The City of Calgary will be providing 3 packer trucks, 2 for waste and 1 for organics including all your yard waste that won't fit in your green bin.

This is a great opportunity to check one of the items off your to do list. Not only is it very convenient being right in our community, it's also FREE! For more information on what can and cannot be disposed of, please refer to the City's website at:

The trucks will be set up in front of the garage and traffic will be queued in the Our Lady of Peace parking lot in one direction. For everyone's safety please make sure you mind the Exit Only and Entrance signs and pay attention to the directions of our volunteers.

As an added bonus for being a Millrise member we will also be providing facilities for electronics recycling, so don't forget to bring your old electronics that are collecting dust. For a complete list of items that can be recycled please refer to Technotrash's website at:

The Calgary Police Service has challenged us to another game of shinny!

Come out and join the team on Saturday, February 24th. Grab your skates and a stick and help Millrise take on the best of the CPS. The game will start right around 10:30 in the morning, and of course we'll have a clean sheet of ice to work with thanks to the hard work of our rink crew.

All skills and ages are welcome!

Keep your eyes on our website and Facebook page for more details.

Hope to see you there!

Do you love cold weather and clearing snow?  Better yet, have you always wanted to drive a Zamboni?

We're the Millrise ice crew and we maintain the ice through the winter. The good news is that we have machines to do the heavy work and the work is extremely rewarding when we see kids active and skating. We're always looking for new volunteers. In October each year we begin our fall tune-up and we generally begin making ice in late November; please plan on coming down early in the year and get acquainted with the work.
