The Millrise Community Association has been awarded a Casino which will take place on:
Thursday Sep. 5th and Friday Sep. 6th
at
ACE Airport Casino
This is a huge opportunity for our community!
Casino funds will be used to support our facility and allow us to run events and make important upgrades to ensure that we can continue giving back to the community and make Millrise a great place to live.
In order to make this event a success, we need a strong contingent of volunteers to fill multiple positions throughout the duration of the casino. The positions which must be filled are:
- Banker
- Cashier
- Chiprunner
- Countroom Staff
If you have never volunteered for a casino, please don't hesitate. You do not need any experience, and all of the roles are super easy. A meal will be provided for you during your shift free of charge. Chiprunners and Countroom staff do not need to be members of our community, so feel free to recruit friends and family!

There are some rules which must be followed:
Volunteers MUST:
- arrive on time for shift;
- sign in at the start of shift and out at the end of shift;
- work the position specified on the Casino Volunteer Schedule;
- and wear a name tag while on duty showing the first or common name and position.
- You may volunteer for more than one slot during the event, but you may only take one position. So this means if you take a Chip Runner role on the first day of the event, you can only take a Chip Runner role on the second day.
Volunteers MUST NOT:
- be paid;
- play casino games or gaming terminals during their group’s casino event;
- consume liquor or illicit substances during their group’s casino event;
- cash cheques or extend credit;
- or possess gaming chips.
