The Community Association is getting a clean start, and we are actively recruiting new Board Members who wish to help shape the future of our Community Association. We also need volunteers and members, and now is an exciting time to join, or re-join!! Membership prices have remained the same at just $25 for one year or $20 annually for a recurring membership.

Our Community Cleanup is back this year and it's bigger and better than ever, offering you more ways to dispose of that clutter you've been meaning to get rid of and also donate some gently used items to a good cause!

Free to the community you can drop off household garbage (Black Bin Items) and Organics (Green Bin). The normal restrictions apply. You can also bring your gently used items and donate them to Cerebral Palsy Alberta.

Our members can also take advantage of additional services, including Electronics Recycling from TechnoTrash, Metal Recycling from Recon Metal and Tire Disposal from ActionTyre. Memberships are $25 dollars for one year from the date of purchase, or $20 per year for an automatically renewing membership that can be cancelled any time. Memberships can be purchased ahead of time on our website or on the day at the Cleanup.

Sign up your little ones to take part in our Christmas Cookie Decorating Event!

The event will take place on:

3:00 to 4:00 PM

Registration is required so that we can make sure there are enough supplies. The cost of the event is free for members and $5/child for non-members.

 

The event will take place at Cardel Rec South, in the Flames Room.

The Flames room is at the south end of the building, on the 2nd floor. There is a staircase at the very south end of the building, or elevators and another staircase near the main Arena Entrance. The Flames Room is across from Arenas #3 and #4.

If you have any trouble finding the Flames Room, don't hesitate to ask any of the staff who will be happy to help you out.

Newsflash

Do you love cold weather and clearing snow?  Better yet, have you always wanted to drive a Zamboni? 

We're the Millrise ice crew and we maintain the ice through the winter. The good news is that we have machines to do the heavy work and the work is extremely rewarding when we see kids active and skating. We're always looking for new volunteers. In October each year we begin our fall tune-up and we generally begin making ice in late November; please plan on coming down early in the year and get acquainted with the work.
